HAZRAT UMAR FAROOQ (R.A)
Hazrat Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A), also known as Umar Farooq, is an important figure in Islamic history. He was the second Caliph of Islam and a close companion of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W). Born around 584 CE. Umar became a Muslim in the early years of the Prophet’s mission and played a big role in growing and strengthening the Islamic state. During his time as Caliph from 634 to 644 CE, he became known for being fair, making administrative improvements, and achieving success in the military. Hazrat Umar’s leadership was marked by a strong sense of justice and simplicity. His famous words, “Fear him, whom you hate,” show his dedication to being fair and doing what is right, even when it was hard for him personally. He earned the title “Al-Farooq” for distinguishing between right and wrong. Hazrat Umar’s contributions to Islam and the Muslim community are remembered for their commitment to justice, honesty, and following the principles of Islam.
